This is the most important election of our lives, and we should all be proud inspired that Starbucks is giving us the platform to remind us that all of our voices matter in a unique way.
Increasing the number of people that vote in each election means better representation, more funding to our communities, and a better quality of life. Politicians listen to two things, money and votes. If we work together as a community and increase voter turnout, then our state and national legislators will listen to our needs.
I pre-registered to vote when I was seventeen years old while a senior in high school. My first voting experience was during the 2004 General Election, when John Kerry was running against incumbent president, George W. Bush. This was during my freshman year in college. My friends and I became very involved and attended several rallies with candidates, participated in various "Get Out the Vote" events and organized a few on-campus presentations to learn about the candidates, understand the various amendments and initiatives to be voted on. We even gathered enough donations from the community to rent a van to provide a shuttle for students to visit their voting precinct and return to campus. The actions my friends and I undertook, resulted in the highest participation percentage of college-aged electors, during a General Election, in the history of the area on which we resided.
It is important to vote to get those who do not need to be in power out. We need representatives, senates, judges who are there for us and the issues we value most whether it is gun laws, racial equally, immigration, school funding etc.
We all need to vote to make sure our voice is heard

If we don’t speak up, we’ll never be heard!
The reason i think this is super important to me is I am a person that need to be heard and by voting I know I am definitely being heard somewhere
